Key Winter Activities

  • Skiing & Snowboarding: Major resorts include Snow Summit and Bear Mountain (Big Bear) for a variety of runs and halfpipes, and Snow Valley for family-friendly, beginner-to-intermediate terrain.
  • Snow Tubing & Sledding: Popular spots include Snow Valley, Snowdrift Snow Tubing Park, and various designated areas in the National Forest.
  • Cross-Country Skiing & Snowshoeing: Available at Rim Nordic Ski Area and in the surrounding, scenic forested areas.
  • Other Activities: Snowmobiling is permitted in designated areas of the San Bernardino National Forest. Ice skating, scenic sky chair rides, and visiting SkyPark at Santa's Village are also popular.
